Well as you can see there is quite a collection of photos. Hoever this is only the tip of the ice berg really.
Alot of the Cathedrals and most of the interior splendor in the palaces were not to be photographed. And these were some of the most spectacular sights to see. Hampton court had a room embalished with tapestries that were embossed with silver and gold and were worth two fully armed battle ships and the knights and men to drive them. This however is exactly th impact it wishes to have, sporting your wealth in the form of treasury and slendor to the visitors of your palace.
The Scince and Natural history museums were incredible, Especially the Science museum. It had Technologies from inventors dating back to the 1500’s. Computers that are the size of a roon, instrument and gadgets gallore…
Westminster Abby was incredible, just getting you head around the history and the shrines in there that hold the physical remains of kings and queens dating back to the 1500’s! Such a special place. I wen to a service in St pauls cathedral.. that was beautifull 1.5 hours there with the choir singing and ministers talking. For a spiritual person but not `religious` it was a gratifying service to witness.
So yes i saw alot of history in my time in London, however i also saw that history also has its down sides.. with all these stone clad paths and historic brick road ways and castle grounds i saw three people trip and face plant into the ground… this made me very wary of my footing.
